English Karaoke Contest

We will hold an English Karaoke contest on Thursday at weed 12 in west 4(5). All the International School students will take part in.
All the songs are determined by the performers. That means student who take part in the contest will choose the song he/she know very well. And students can register in group or indevually.
Prize: 1First place: 100 yuan of call value.
2Second : re-chargeable reading lamp
3Third one: beautiful cups.
all the winners will get a nice card for this contest. The card will be written on the winner name and prize.

I feel so sorry!

In our plan, we should show our posters and PPT last week. But we haven't.

Last week, we were prepared for our common tests. The common tests are very important for us. So we must do our best to do it. Because of this, we foegot to email our PPT to Sandra and ask her to revise it. So we couldn't show it to others. We felt very sorry about it.

We have finish it now. I hope that it's not too late. Maybe common test is a excuse, but I think that we will do our project as well as possible.

The plan of our KARAOKE contest

Theme : Open your mouth

Purpose: Prectise our English speeking and learn some new words from the lyrics.

Date: Week 12

Place: 701

Register: The students who want to take part in the contest can register in week7. The players must join the contest as a team. If one student want to register, she/he must invite another student to join with her/him.

Details: After regeister, the players can choose a group of songs to learn.
In the contest, the players draw lots to decide which team sing first. If it's team A's turn now, one player must choose a song from the song list (We don't show them the names of the songs and we only show them the numbers of the songs) .And if the player from team A can not sing the song, the other member of team A can help her/him. Each team have three chances to choose songs. In the middle of the contest, we will play a game with the audiences. Because it's too boring that only singing songs. This game is called "continue lyrics". The host sing a famous English song and the audience who can continue the lyrics can get a small prize. After all the teams have sung, the audiences can help us choose the best three teams. The audiences can paste some small pieces of paper into the blackboard where we have written down the teams' names. They can choose the team which they like best. Base on the these pieces of papers, we can know which teams are the top three.

Prizes:
First place: 100 Yuan of telephone expenses(each one of the team will get 50Yuan);
Second place: 2 reading lamps which can be charged;
Third place: A pair of cup.

Quan Zhou is located in the northern of Xia Men，separate sea with Tai Wan. This is a historical and cultural city, and it's famous overseas chinese in china. It have many ancient historical relics and natural scenery, such as Kai Yuan Temple, An Ping Bridge, Zheng chenggong tomb, Dai Xian waterfalls, Yong Chun Niu Mu Forest and so on. It Well worth visiting. Now I will introduce some sight spots for you to enjoy.

Kai Yuan Temple

It was built in tang dynasty, it has been a long history of 1,300 years, is the focus of Buddhism temples and key units to be protected. In Kai Yuan Temple the most famous is the Twin Towers, the East name "Zhenguo tower", the West name "Renshou tower", which more than 40 meters high, is the highest a pair of stone in our country. It is the signs and symbols of Quan Zhou.

Yong Chun Niu Mu Forest

Niu Mu Forest is known as the Xi Shuang Ban Na of Min Nan. It is the summer resort, I think in the hot summer to travel is a good choice. There have various of plant and animal, the unique of sight. The monkey is very interesting than in the zoo, if you go there and you will find them very cute. I think here is a good place to relax.

An Ping Bridge another name is Wuli Bridge. It was build in Song dynasty. It is the longest seaport stone bridge. As a world without bridge in the long bridge. Although today's world has large railway crossing rivers, the modern overpasses bridge, but we still like to go wandering visit An Ping bridge. We can appreciate some appeal of ancient bridge .

Hello, everyone. My name is Autumn, I’m the member of Girls in the mirror. My Chinese name is Ding Qiujin. I’m twenty years old. I am a shine girl and I like to make friends with everybody.

My hometown is far away from Wu Han.It’s very beautiful city of Hei Longjiang. It’s Qiqihaer. My hometown is nearly the most north of China. In winter, my hometown is very cold, you can see a lot of snow, you can skiing, skating, make snowman, you also can see very magnificent ice festival and so on. It is a wonderfulplace.

I like reading, Zhang Xiaoxian is my favourite authors. I like play basketball, Kobe is my fabourite NBA basketplayer. I often go shopping with my best friends. In my life, happy is very important, so you can see the smile in my face.

I'm a really Chinese girl, er```I mean if it's the first time for me to meet someone stranger，you will think me as a retiring girl, but as time goes by you will know that i am really outgoing girl. I also think i am a homorous person because i can always make people around me smile. haha...

Things are changed all times. I have already 19 years old. I cant remember all things but i try to make everything meanful. Such as my English name. I set Kiwi as my English name. Actuality, i've never seen this bird, i just konw that it's a bird from New Zealand, everybody knows that, because i like the ocean and grassland very much. I think New Zealand is a perfect plance.

Hello, everybody! Welcome to our space--"Girls in the mirror".

Now let us introduce ourselves. There are six members in our team: Elvis, Maggie, Autumn, Kathy, Amy Z, Kiwi. You can see something about us in the next page.

Now let me introduce something about our project and our plan. Our topic is "Movie and Music". Afuter discussions, we have a good idea to help us learn more about English. We came up with two good ideas.One is to hold a karaoke competition, the other one is singing the next lyrics.

Karaoke competition: We will give the names of some famous and nice songs before the competition. Then the students who want to take part in can choose one song to learn. During the competition, the students sings one by one. After listen to the songs, the audiences can paste some small pieces of paper into the singers body. So they can choose the one which they like. And then we can select to top three and the winners can get some small prizes.

Singing the next lyrics: We will also choose some well-known English songs. In this game, the players can choose the songs they like to play. And when the music stop, the players must to sing the next lyrics(more than two sentances). The more, the better. And the players who can not sing the next lyrics, they will be eliminated. Finally,the last three players who have not been eliminated will win the game.
